“My paintings begin with a word or phrase, this gives me a general idea of the paintings direction. From that point on the painting is process driven. I create a history of the process, layering and revealing, adding and subtracting elements along the way. I resolve a painting with line, texture and symbols.

“The finished paintings are a combination of gesso, acrylic, collage elements, oil pastel graphite and ink on wood panel.

“My aim is to create a painting that holds the viewers interest, continually revealing a new story”.
